Duh. Otherwise peak would be terrible.
It might be terrible, either way.
The capacity of packages, has exceeded the infrastructure.
Think about that for a minute....

Why isn’t getting rid of Orion in any of the negotiations, mgmt knows it’s garbage, drivers know it’s garbage. Winwin

That's above my pay grade.I’ve been told, “if you need Orion turned off on any route you’re doing, just ask the PDS”
Sure they can.... they do it all the time...The Union can not tell the company how to run it's business.
But management would get their compliance metric, and that is what mattersNo. GPS/timestamps would all be off, all air would show as late.
They’ve turned mine off when the trace is completely edIf I were a supervisor or center manager there's no way I'd take the risk of turning it off. Do you think upper management couldn't review the dispatch?
Yer fired!
Pulled 40 stops off a driver on Tuesday because he had an 8 hour. When we transferred they went to RDO order.
They have the nerve to tell us make the best business decision, follow orion only when it makes sense too. lmfaoTo me it’s funny that RDO was removed yet, I still rum my route my and no Supervisor will enforce ORION. Just waiting to see when they’ll start enforcing ORION so that I can laugh all the way to the bank$$$$.
Yup, goes to RDO most of the time when transferring.
What if you scan all your packages before leaving and transfer them back to yourself after transferring to someone else?
And how long do you suppose that will take? Your air would be late before you were done transferring. What if you scan all your packages before leaving and transfer them back to yourself after transferring to someone else?

Being sarcastic, I know. Went right over my head.Dude...
Welcome to the real UPSHi i work in the Southampton depot in the UK. We are the first centre in the UK to use the Orion system, and i can tell you it's not going well! We have a lot more drivers needing help than we used to due to Orion putting them behind(going to areas several times, unable to find packages due to poor load etc)used to be you knew every parcel on your van,now we don't have a clue,it's all over the place! We're all dreading peak as it's gonna be carnage
