I pay an extra $1600 a month now... I'm wanting to crank it up to a extra 3,000 a month and have the house paid off in spring of 19 = ) but I cant make that big of payment without selling some stock

You said you were 40, in your prime really. Get off the 9.5 list and tell them to load you up. Really sacrifice your life for 2 or 3 years. Make as much as you can payment wise. In 20 years you will be glad you did .And will prolly be able to retire earlier too. But you will need your family on board with the idea.
