You completely missed the point that they pay more into the Federal treasury then they receive out of it.

I understand that, but its not because an individual in NJ is paying more than a similar individual in another state.
The person in NJ pays less in federal tax.

Low state family makes 100000 and takes the 12700 standard deduction pays on 87300@ 10% so 8730
