Contradict much?
Anyone who misuses FMLA in this manner cares only about him or herself.
Contradict much?
I may be weak in your eyes but I would have never, ever thought of staying home to "bond" with my nearly 1 year old "newborn" during Peak, effectively giving my co-workers the collective middle finger.
This employee staying home causes a ripple effect that could be irrecoverable.
...and, let me guess, this "irrecoverable", at some point, may affect you?

Well they had about 60 days notice before thanksgiving. If they can’t hire one extra person in 2 months that’s a them issue. They did properly staff----he was on the roster----how do you plan for someone who takes him or herself out of the lineup for purely selfish reasons?

Why should they? Get your butt to work and play Baby Daddy on the weekend like the rest of us had to do.
You sound jealous.
Awwwww now the boomer comes out. I had to do it so should you.Why should they? Get your butt to work and play Baby Daddy on the weekend like the rest of us had to do.
Why did you retire instead of helping? Not one little ole bit; to be truthful, I think that this was a dick move on his part. He had the whole year to spend time with Ava. This is nothing more than his way of getting out of Peak.

my mom passed away during peak a few years a go and missed 5 days. didn't think about my co-workers.
It is none of your business when someone choses to take parental leave.I may be weak in your eyes but I would have never, ever thought of staying home to "bond" with my nearly 1 year old "newborn" during Peak, effectively giving my co-workers the collective middle finger.
Gotta have priorities.I may be weak in your eyes but I would have never, ever thought of staying home to "bond" with my nearly 1 year old "newborn" during Peak, effectively giving my co-workers the collective middle finger.
I doubt that all of the ups employees wives have children at the same time during peak. You don't think each and every employee, hourly or management, wouldn't love to skip Peak? Of course they would.
