East German Makarovs are highly collectable. Their 7.62 x 39 ammo sucks.

Most of the German Makarovs I have seen were converted to .380
Much cheaper ammo but ruins any possible collectable value.
I miss the days when you could get cheap steel cored Berdan corrosive primed 7.62x39 ammo.

Everybody was down on the steel core ammo for fire hazard and the chance of it bouncing back at you in rocky areas. Mine is 9 x18 with the "high capacity" double stack 10 round magazine. 12 rounders are not worth trying to get.
