What does Memphis do about this?

Van tried to make a point about left of center folks. It was an outdated, stupid stereotype. He knows it, I know it and he looks silly for bringing it up.
You aren't obtuse so you must not be paying attention. I've been reading various forums on the 'net for 20+ years. I've seen plenty of criticism of the military over the years, and the vitriol gets to the point with many that they are figuratively spitting on soldiers. I've seen numerous liberals refer to them as "baby killers." The fact is many liberals not only run down America and it's institutions, especially the military, but many believe the U.S. is the single biggest problem in the world today. The oath to defend our Constitution is against enemies both foreign and domestic, and I believe a significant percentage of those who identify as liberal are going beyond their Constitutional right to protest, they are working to undermine this country with the ultimate goal to replace capitalism, proven to work, with socialism, which ultimately fails or at least greatly hampers a nation's ability to function. But as they always purport themselves as much more brilliant than conservatives, they believe they'll ultimately get it right and everyone will live in an equal, just society where all live well and no one goes wanting. This fantasy is poisonous to their ability to cope with setbacks like losing presidential elections, resulting in lashing out at anything symbolic of what they despise. And yes these people despise the military, and figuratively spit on our soldiers.

Now you just look silly wrapped up in a flag and playing some kind of "DEMOCRATS HATE AMERICA" projection straight out of the true haters, Hannity, Coulter, Breitbart.

Where did I say Democrats? By the way Nancy Pelosi openly attacked capitalism a couple of days ago. I'm talking about the left wing nut liberals out there who rage against the country repeatedly. Not all Democrats are left wing nuts, but most if not all left wing nuts are Democrats. Clean up the rabid fanaticism in your own party before you criticize the far right Republicans.

Don't back off your vitriol now. You have espoused your distaste for all things in the Democratic party over the years on this site.

You mean the same folks working hand in hand with the media to lead everyone down a certain path? The ones who can't stand not being able to control the message with outlets like FOX News shining a light on their activities? The ones who have us drowning in debt? The ones who advocate killing unborn babies even up to just before birth? The ones who despise Christianity while turning a blind eye to Muslim radicals because "the enemy of my enemy is my friend?" The ones who want to force their vision of how everyone should live on everyone else? The above doesn't describe every Democrat, just the extremists who've taken over the party. If Democrats today were just about trying to get a fair shake for average folk that would be one thing, but as they illustrated with Express employees in 2010 their priorities aren't about helping labor get ahead in life, and haven't been for some time now.

Nope. There are two things about Democrats he does not hate. Social Security and medicare. Don't worry he'll have his hand out waiting for those the benefits that will shape the quality of life going forward. In my time I have seen scores of VT's. Guy's who demonize Democrats but in the same breath talk about their Social Security and Medicare benefits which would not exist today if it were not for Democrats. It is however good to know that Paul Ryan and his gang have set out to "save and reform" Social Security and Medicare. Yet when VT and those like him see how " save and reform" impacts their benefits they will be the ones hollering the loudest. Who will they blame? Why, Democrats of course because they were so few in number that they couldn't protects the VT's of the world from themselves.

If those programs aren't reformed they'll eventually be lost to future generations. You blindly believe that the Democrats set everything up perfectly and troubling little details like demographics and economic realities don't matter. They do.

But you'll gladly cash your checks, right?

Just as it is my money too. But where's it going to come from with a weak economy, shrinking middle class, lower labor participation, ever increasing baby boom retirees? Want it to continue? Have to fix it so that it can.

You want them to take SS away to pay for able bodied people to stay home. Reparations for past sins.
No. I believe future generations will take it to pay for tax cuts and wars that we didn't pay for. I believe future generations will feel sorry for us and say, "I know you thought your debt was going to be paid by us, but actually you are going to pay for your past."

What reparations are you talking about van? That really has a racist undertone.
There are plenty of blacks who believe reparations should be paid for slavery. Not trying to be racist. You recently stated they should take away SS to pay for what people need right now.
