What Use Of Your Ancestral Identity Offends You?

For decades polls have been taken among Native Americans as to how they feel about their images being used for team mascots. Overwhelmingly they have been positive about such mascots. They feel it reflects their strength in the face of great adversity. However a small percentage of mostly younger Native Americans as well as their far Left white compatriots have been pushing the whole cultural appropriation theme. THEY know better what the rest of us should think and support. Getting to the point of complete idiocy.
Why do I bother. Is this a debate between native Americans? Did native Americans vote or create these team names? NO.
So this a debate between native Americans and the people who named their teams after native Americans. None of whom were native Americans or are native Americans.
So that means the fact that some other native Americans don't care about the team names or hell they can even like the team names changes nothing about the claims of the native Americans who are offended by the team names because the team names don't come from other native Americans.

So that means the people(who aren't native Americans) who created the team names and maintain the team names have to answer the claims of those native Americans who are offended by their team name.

So in the actual debate it still ends up with people on one side are saying this team's name offends my ethnicity/culture and on the other side are people saying we don't care if the name offends your ethnicity/culture, what you think doesn't matter.

I'm of Native American ancestry. I have just as much right to express an opinion as anyone. What I just read was you chasing your tail trying to justify telling others what they must think because you think you know better than they do. Mind your own business and stop trying to control everything.

WINNER!
Good advice for everyone!
Especially those Christians that go around telling others how to live their lives!

Or even those Christians who are accused of trying to tell everyone how to live their lives because when asked they tell what's in the Bible and explain that's what they are trying to live by. Non-Christians can't stand that for some reason.
