How do you not know who your grandparents are unless maybe you are adopted?
Both my wife and I are adopted. She’s met both of her birth parents and families and I’ve met neither of mine. Personally, I find it way overrated.

Adopted I get. Still, I would bet you could name all 4 of your grandparents. (Family, not bio-family), maybe both?

It will be fine

There’s a few other reasons I can think of. Grandparents dead before you’re born. Falling out between your parents and grandparents. History of abuse or criminality with grandparents so grandkids never meet them.

On my Dads side--no--I only knew my Grandmother. She and her husband split sheets when she was really young. I might have heard his name years ago but I don't remember what it was.
On my Moms side--no- neither one--she was adopted.

My family tree looks like that Charlie Brown Christmas tree.
