It doesn't say you HAVE to have four years senority.
Before I got a route they'd put me on the same route four days out of the week and change it one day...management is stupid but you think they're really dumb enough to let someone stay on a route and go 9.5....? Come on

Get a new job? You don't have to work at ups. 9.5 list?

This is your life, bro. You ended up here. If you want to get done early then perhaps you should choose a career you want instead of settle for something you can get.

You have to request a route for the week. If you win the route for the following week (no one with more seniority bids it) then it doesn't matter if they force you into another route. You would still be eligible for 9.5.

OP, it can be worse...

Do that for less pay... & no OT

Amazon drivers & other 3rd party drivers probably have it worse

Sooo, bid on a regular route ASAP & then play their games

In our Local 705, all drivers-cover or route, regardless of years of service, are eligible for 9.5 list. Most of the time they just pay the penalty. If you are actually under 3 days, its because you run or plain luck. This language needs to be added to the national contract this time

So they put up bids for routes that are going to be open every week?
Doesn't happen here.
Yes but that shouldn't matter.

Guys on vacation you run his route Monday. They put you on another route Tuesday. You were just prevented from running it all week but are still eligible for the 9.5 list

So if a higher seniority cover decides he wants it tuesday you're SOL?
It's a free for all everyday for cover guys around here.
Sometimes you don't even know what you're running till after PCM.
