Woman on mobility scooter killed by UPS truck in Auburn
Sad and unfortunate.
Looks like that is at a FEDEX building while looking at the scene via google maps
You need to scoot these reports out of here.
Get the big picture
How wide how deep? Whats in it objects and ground keeps you away from billboards. Smooth stops and turns buys time. Stay back and see it all!
Man. If only the driver's on car supervisor had been in the passenger seat squawking that at him.
Those panel trucks have lousy visibility for close objects.
Better yet, watch out for stuff if you are on a scooter.
I’ve noticed a lot of people on those mobility scooters think everyone is just going to move out of their way. The large folk on scooters at Walmart especially.
Always more fat people than available scooters at Walmart.
Most are fat slobs that should be walking.
Many using those things are not disabled, they are obese.
Let's not compare someone with Parkinson's or ALS, for example, with someone who simply overeats and will not exercise.
There are people with legitimate medical conditions but they are a minority. Many more are just fat slobs.
You how many I have seen magically stand up and reach for the little debbies on the top shelf?
I’ve lost count.
If you weight 400 pounds it doesn't mean you are big boned or because of tour genetics.
It means you are a fat slob.
I believe food addiction is real and many in our country are suffering with this.
It is sad.
So sad for the deceased and the driver who was involved in this tragic accident.
Very difficult situation.
I have been officially advised to not speak to the media if approached. " Don't be that guy" LOL.
There may have been a case of diminished capacity and self- preservation skills there, IMHO.
Did the news report any more details?
