UPS driver retires after 44 years of service – Yahoo News

After more than four decades as a United Parcel Service driver, Tom Howes is heading into retirement, but his dedication will not be forgotten.

“I feel like a football coach that’s losing their all-star quarterback, ” said Tryston Kessler, Tom’s supervisor.

His career with UPS began when he was 19. In his first position, Tom worked between the early hours of 3:30-8:30 a.m. each day as a delivery truck loader. He said that was back when UPS only delivered to addresses in the United States.

Unable to have a 50th birthday party during a pandemic, Tiffany Davidson was looking forward to this custom-baked cake, sent from her mother in Mississippi. This ring doorbell footage shown in the video above shows the UPS man arriving.

“I’m like oh my cake is here! So I run to the door and see this tiny box. And I say that’s not it,” Davidson said.

UPS driver makes special stop to visit 6-year-old Wisconsin girl – Fox 6

On his UPS route through Oak Creek, driver Kevin Kiewig always makes a special stop at one house. Kevin stops by to check on his friend, 6-year-old Molly.

When UPS driver Kevin Kiewig stopped by the Zehnder house two years ago, Molly answered the door and from there a bond slowly formed.

“Everyone just rolled with it,” said Amy Zehnder, Molly’s mom. “He is so down to earth, he’s realistic, he’s kind, he’s humble, he’s one of Molly’s best friends.”

As best friends do, the two are there for one another. Kevin recently had shoulder surgery.

“What did you tell me, Molly?” said Kevin Kiewig.

“I said, don’t be scared,” said Molly Zehnder.

UPS Airlines all-Black crew to fly during Thunder Over Louisville – WHAS 11

UPS Airlines will fly an all-Black crew during Thunder Over Louisville, for the first time in the air show’s history.

The crew of four spent about an hour in the UPS flight simulator on Thursday to practice the flight path just days before the big event.

Louisville native Jordan Dorsey, a First Officer and co-pilot on the Thunder flight, called it an honor.

Days of severe weather in Acadiana has caused flooded roads across the area, but that didn’t stop UPS driver Edward Brown from delivering a package to a New Iberia resident. The resident’s doorbell camera caught footage of Brown braving severe conditions.
