Nobody pays taxes on losses. The bad part is I do want to hold for longer than a year for capital gains purposes but I think I’m gonna keep a small stack to trade with also.

He was talking about on the way up and some people have made plenty even on the way down. There’s always money to be made when something is volatile.Nobody pays taxes on losses.
Our local tried that for a few years, just a handful of people showed up. You can't get people to pickup a phone and vote, let alone get in a car and drive to the union hall. This right here is exactly why the union should hold twice a year free financial classes
Perhaps...The company pension contributions far out weigh any match
Only one who made any money off those was that ty guy... become filthy rich off those bean bags...Worse than beanie babies?
Oh....Throwing $100 bills in a barn fire....
Remember during 97 strike guys having no idea how much money they had in bank, just said wife handles all that. Our local tried that for a few years, just a handful of people showed up. You can't get people to pickup a phone and vote, let alone get in a car and drive to the union hall.

Invest in a XDevialSdo UPS match your 401K or put any money into it? if not then why get it over a saving account with a 2-4% APR or APY? just started my 401K 3 months ago when I went full time and still no answer on if they match it in the Maryland area.

Probably one of the same guys that doesn't know what is covered under the contract.I remember a driver telling me that he wouldn't put anything in the 401k because he "didn't trust the company with his money". This guy had like 25 years in at the time too, just unreal how ignorant people are.
Wish we still had it.Thrift Plan money was under company control. Not 401k
Only problem with it was that it took so long to build up a decent balance.Wish we still had it.
It was only $6 a weekOnly problem with it that it took so long to build up a decent balance.
