I blame Barney Frank. Almost solely.He was THE ONE who pressured financial institutions to give loans to anyone.

I remember one Congressional hearing years ago where a banking official told Frank he (Frank) would end up collapsing the market.
Our fine Congressmans response was to threaten to hold the banker in contempt of Congress.
