I had 2 disc replaced in my neck 2 years ago. c5 and c6. No problems since then. I missed 3 weeks and 4 days of work. My sup did a great job of keeping my stop count low so I didnt have to work very hard for a month.

A friend of mine missed a total of 4 1/2 years with 2 back surgerys. He is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to work comp rules. UPS wrote him off many times thinking he would never return to work. He retired May 29th with 31 years after spending the last year and a half on comp--- again.:surprised: Although some thought he was a comp abuser I wouldn't have traded places with him for anything---especially after seeing the baggie full of stainless steel rods and screws they took out of him between his 1st and second operation.

I was out or on light duty several times for two to three months. I have a herniated disc. I was sent to physical therapy and also have had steroid injections.

Since tranferring to feeders I have not had any real problems on the job. I have felt a little strained when dealing with the dollys but other than that, I am fine.

Sometimes, I do come close to throwing my back out by doing the simplest things, like bending a little to get my socks out of my dresser drawer for example. But if I stop what I am doing when I feel the slightest little twinge of pain, I am ok.

So far.

Move your socks to a higher drawer.

You're welcome.

Microdiscectomy on a herniated disc (L5) in 96. Off work about 8 weeks after the surgery. Have only had trouble a handful of times since then. I still have a series of stretches I do that help when it is bothering me.

I'm out now because of 3 bulging discs that cause inflammation around the sciatic nerve where it come out of the spine. This causes severe pain and numbness in my leg and I loose nearly all the strength in my leg. It's not a constant pain but when this happens I can't walk. I've been out since the middle if January. If the Doctors and Liberty Mutual would get their ****** together we might could do something to help.

Trp i have two bulging discs and 1 herniated disc, l4 and s1 are bulging while l5 is herniated.

I went and saw a chiro specialist who strapped me to a table that bent my body to relieve the pressure. I was off work about 2 months and while it flares up from time to time it still beats having surgery on the back.

Get an attorney to help speed things up. Thats the only thing liberty mutual understands. They are moving slow because over time your injury will start to heal itself.
