Can anything be done about our manager?

We have a manager on our line at ground that thinks he is untouchable. Gets into employees faces starting confrontation. Calling them A holes and sexual slurs. Threatening to drop us down to 2 days a week if we don't "get our attitudes in check". He's seriously gotten confrontational with at least a dozen drivers. We're not all completely innocent. Most of out attitude comes from the increased volume and hours and the boss continuing to refuse to give any of us a raise. I think he's approaching us in an unprofessional way and things could be sorted out in a better manner. He's making work life on our line hostile and down right miserable.
Today he got in my face because of a conversation I had with another manager about pay increase. The manager that got in my face wasn't even involved or working the day I spoke with the other manager. He came at me just to start a fight calling me an a hole and 'male rooster'. Telling me my head is on the chopping block if I keep up with the attitude. I never had an attitude in the first place. I keep to myself and take their BS (except twice a year when I let it build up and blow up) . For reference my fake quitting thread. Anyway. I've been thinking about going to management of my terminal Monday morning and telling them the situation that happened today.

Do they have the authority to do anything since we work for a contractor or should I save my breath?

It will be fine

Why would the terminal management care about your contractor’s manager? Talk to your contractor.

At Express we have an “ethics hotline”. Maybe you can check around and see if there is such a thing at Ground and call.

Here's the question: This manager you speak of , is he a direct employee of Fedex or is he an employee of the contractor. Whoever he is employed by it will take a concerted effort not just one or two but all drivers employed by this contractor to notify both the contractor and Fedex Ground management regarding his boorish behavior. You have to stick together, keep your stories straight and have as many incidents of unacceptable behavior documented and backed with witness accounts .

He's an employee of the contractor. There's one other driver that would stick by my side. The others sit there and take his wrath. Scared to get fired.

My contractor and him are butt buddies. Which is the reason why he acts the way he does.
It will take all of you to voice your objection to his profanity and sexual advances. Verbal abuse is the same as physical abuse. I thought you were going to get out of that little piece of heaven? It's a dead end job and migrant farm workers have better protection under the law that you do. Nobody's going to get fired if you would all sign onto a formal letter of complaint to your contractor employer with the understanding that if he refuses to correct the situation then Fedex corporate will be made aware of the situation. Important reminder if the abusive behavior is happening on Fedex owned or leased property.

That doesn’t answer why you think FedEx management would care. They don’t, it’s not their employee. If your contractor is fine with the management style you’ll have to quit. There’s plenty of other contractors to work for.

Why does Fedex care if someone forges a signature? We aren't their employee. Why did Fedex care to put cameras in all our vehicles when contractors were apposed? We aren't their employee. Why did Fedex care to make my contractor fire an employee after a driver hit on a customer's wife and the wife's husband called Memphis? We aren't their employee. Why did Fedex care to make my contractor fire a driver for beating the :censored2: out of someone for calling him a racial slur. We aren't their employee. Why do we get harassed to wear a mask in the building and threatened to get kicked out when contractors could give two :censored2:s? We aren't their emoloyee. You see what I'm getting at? Fedex still as the overall say it what happens between the contractors employees.

You are very confused. The examples you cite involve providing services for FedEx. Your manager being mean to you doesn’t involve them at all. If you try to involve them you’d be better off quitting because you’ll be fired in short order otherwise.

Leave Ground it will not get better also are you a salaried employee you need to start a class action against the contractors or FedEx you are an hourly employee under labor laws find a labor attorney.

How is inflicting physical harm on another employee a Fedex service?

I am salaried. That huge lawsuit against salaried employees last year got my contractor shook. He now manipulates the hours and wage so they equal my salary pay. He has me at 60 hours a week lol. I actually work around 35 hours a week.
