There were no jobs lost as a result of this. I support this move as it is always nice to have a fresh set of eyes.
Perhaps the DVIR should be something done on the diad with sig clarification? Someday.

I have 2 signatures. Have had for 20 years. 1 is for DVIR and 1 is for everything else. They are both MY signatures. We've been told for quite some time now that if our signature isn't legible, we are to print our name our name underneath.
I would think that if you alter your signature, it is not your signature!
Can we use a crayon ?
Not trying to pick a fight but a quick google search found this, Driver vehicle inspection report(s). - Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration . Stop looking at the 1/2 empty glass and see the 1/2 full one
If I remember right the DVIR book are only kept 30 days now then thrown away.
EDICR's & DVIR's are kept for 90 days.
They are audited.
These are legal documents.
The time line has changed It used to be 90 days it isn't any more....
I think you are teeling that to the wrong person. It's her job to know.
See.i believe they get rid of the paper copy after 30 days and keep a electronic copy that they input into a computer.
I think you are telling that to the wrong person. It's her job to know.
