But it retained the U.S. rights to the name and initially opened a small assembly facility in Tullytown, Pa. Now, the company is planning a full-fledged manufacturing plant in the Atlantic Coast community just north of Fort Lauderdale.

Can someone explain why the only time it's acceptable to take away rights or privileges from people who did nothing wrong is when it has to do with guns?

Although I think attacking freedom of speech is quickly gaining ground.

Should I buy a gun?

I don't care about guns, not a part of my upbringing.

I like speakers and guitar pickups and late '80's model Toyotas.

Do I need a gun?

Yes .
But only use blanks when firing it . The noise will probably scare away any would be attackers.
Orion makes a green flare gun that shoots very noisy rounds to scare away bears, but you could easily acquire a marine flare gun. Just remember to paint over the orange pistol to make it look more dangerous.

I used to own a Desert Eagle in .50AE and whenever I met someone who never shot a gun in their life, I would take them to the range and let them pop off a round or two with it. Not one person wasn't laughing or smiling afterwards.

My suggestion is finding a reputable firearm instructor who would teach you safe handling and basic handling of a handgun. It'll cost a few bucks, but it's worth it even if you have no intention of owning a firearm in the future.
