theyve probably got a better safety net than you guys...

focus ricky. you posted that the guy stealing food in Italy was not convicted for stealing. If Italy has a better safety net and the guy has options to get fed and decided to steal anyway then he should have gotten convicted for theft.

u gotta be kidding yourself if you dont think america has one of the worst safety nets amongst developed countries. maybe ill look it up and find something.

the italian government also supports democracy at work instead of capitalism via the marcora law.

have you seen italian high speed trains, especially the privatized ones?

Are those the trains that Italy tried to sell to Belgium who later found out (after wasting millions) that those trains wouldn't fit on their tracks?

richard wolff and thom hartmann talk about one of the alternatives to capitalism which is democracy at work aka worker directed coops. they also talk about feudalism evolving into capitalism, what changed, and what stayed the same.

What min wage are you suggesting , USA ? Canada ? or the countries were the products come from ?
Now don't forget that in the USA and Canada have higher min wages and all those other countries the avg working wage is equal to just under a dollar a day .
So which is it ?

So then why are so many immigrants risking their very lives to come here ?

Or is the USA just another stop on their way up north to your neighborhoods ?
because NAFTA destroyed small farmers livelihood in mexico. i mean theres obviously no comparison between usa and mexico.
