Tyson said in an e-mailed statement that it does “not tolerate the refusal of requests to use the restroom.” Perdue said in an e-mailed response that the “anecdotes reported are not consistent” with the company’s policies and practices. Pilgrim’s Pride said in an e-mailed statement that “any allegations of the nature claimed by Oxfam, if proven, would be clear violations of company policy and would result in disciplinary action.”

“We value our team members and treat them with respect,” according to an e-mailed statement from Tyson. The company is “concerned about these anonymous claims, and while we currently have no evidence they’re true, are checking to make sure our position on restroom breaks is being followed and our team members’ needs are being met,” according to the statement.

I searched for the article you had posted since you did not provide the link with the dramatic heading. I found it and posted the response from those chicken companies which is only fair to the accused to present their side of this issue.

I don't think there are many people in this world that would wear diapers to work to avoid bathroom breaks. the article mentioned long lines. Most counties and states have codes that require a specific number of bathroom facilities per employee. there are civil and legal penalities for denying workers bathroom breaks. So the person that chooses to wear a diaper to work and crap their selves rather then exercise their rights probably has bigger issues then their employer. you would probably know this if you were not trying to slam us from afar.

the headline is dramatic and effective for anyone who wants to believe such crap , no pun intended.

I recall having a regular pm pick-up at the Oxfam offices , outside of the building was a well known spot where the local hookers would meet up to start off their nights .

you only posted the response from the companies, why not post the other side as well since your so balanced? i didnt actually read the article, i saw it on twitter from "US department of fear" or something. its a little over the top for your country but it wouldnt suprise me. i know for sure some companies only allow you so much time in the bathroom.

having laws, and actually enforcing them are 2 separate issues.

love it. to hell with capitalism and taking orders all the time.

Maduro Orders Shuttered Factories Seized and Given to Workers

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Sunday told a crowd of supporters that in order to increase productivity and help alleviate basic products scarcity al businesses and factories closed down by their owners would be given to the workers so production could be restarted.

“A stopped factory (is) a factory turned over to the people, the moment to do it has come, I'm ready to do it to radicalize the Revolution,” said Maduro.

Maduro has accused the factory owners of deliberately sabotaging production in order to cause harm to the government.

The demonstration was organized in support of the "communal economy,” which are small and medium production projects supported and coordinated by community councils and communes. These instances of grassroots and direct democracy are collectively known inside Venezuela as the “Communal Power.”

“I'm ready to hand over to the Communal Power any factory stopped by any rich person in this country … Whoever doesn't want to work should leave and those who do are welcome, we will go united. This country needs all of its economic structure to be functioning,” stated President Maduro.

A quick look at the world’s countries in direst economic shape reveals that many, if not most, have one thing in common: They rely on top-down socialist control, rather than free markets, to run their economies. The former, history amply shows, are doomed to fail. There are no long-term socialist success stories. None.

Socialism Is Dying Everywhere from Europe to South America - Except in the US
There are no absolute socialist countries just like they are no absolute capitalist countries. You shouldn't discard the benefits and focus on the problems, or vice versa, of either capitalism or socialism.

For some reason these conservative sites you guys always link to, try and portray everything in black and white. That's not how the world works. Simple minded arguments for simple minded people.
