Did you not pick up on the sarcasm? Dang, I must be slipping.
SLMDRE
I am glad and respect you for attempting to leave the hood. The faster you can leave that life behind, the better.
But if you file, you open up a whole can of worms, along with a can of whoop-a$s. The results will very well not be what you are wanting, and once through that process, thats it. No appeal, no part-time job. As 407 pointed out, go back to part time. Reapply for a drivers position again as soon as possible.
And learn from your mistakes. That is the biggie here. So far in all your posts, all we have heard is how mean they were for doing an audit to your truck. Get a life, that is their truck. They are UPS's packages. They can audit you every day, 10 times a day if they feel they have a reason to do so. Yes, you can file on harassment, but if they can show a pattern of why they need to audit you, they can. And by your own post, you gave them several reasons.
What you did appeared dishonest. And whether you actually intended to be or not, all they have to do is present the evidence they have and even from what you posted, you would have a very hard time showing you were not. Any charge of dishonesty is viewed very dimly at the panel. And usually results in an upheld termination. And with dishonesty, you can not draw unemployment.
All you have done is justify your actions, not admitting you did anything wrong or stupid. And as a former steward, I have seen people fired for less. Yeah, some got their jobs back, but some didn't.
IF you can not learn, or refuse to learn from your mistakes, you will never ever be a UPS driver.
Learn from your mistake, and move on.
Good luck
