rules for vacation checks

    I know the rules for weekly checks in regards to if ups screws up and them paying out to you issuing it etc.. However the vacation checks you get two weeks earlier in case they f something u. Do the same rules apply to vacation checks has will?

    if ups screws up on your regular check. They have to cut you a new one or they pay double to you.

    They only have so long to correct their mistake and pay your weekly check out to you.

    The same remedies and penalties apply to your vacation check that apply to your regular check if not received on time.

    Issuance of a green check, penalty pay, etc.

    That maybe a supplement issue, so it would depend on which supplemental you are under

    On a regular non holiday week....management can submit payroll corrections as late as Tuesday morning for checks arriving on Thursday (or Friday, depending on your location). They'll tell you they can't, and that you'll have to wait till the following week, but it can be done.

    I was wrong it is in national article 17
    Wages for properly selected vacations, in all instances, will be paid to
    the employees no later than the workday prior to their vacation. If the
    employee does not receive his/her vacation check, the Employer will
    make all reasonable efforts to provide the check the following day
    including delivery by Saturday or Next Day Air. If the employee
    requests to see his vacation check on the Monday as permitted
    below and the Employer fails to make the vacation payment
    available by Saturday following the employee’s regular scheduled
    pay day, the employee shall be paid an additional amount equal
    to one-half (1/2) of his or her daily guarantee at his or her regular
    hourly rate of pay for every subsequent pay period until the
    shortage is corrected. Other shortages involving more than forty
    ($40.00) thirty dollars ($30.00) for full-time employees, and twenty
    ($20.00) fifteen dollars ($15.00) for part-time employees, will be cor-
    rected and the payment will be made available to the employee at
    his/her reporting location on his/her second scheduled workday after
    reporting the shortage. If the Employer fails to make the payment
    available on the employee’s second scheduled workday and the short-
    age was the result of the Employer’s error, the employee will be paid
    an additional amount equal to one-half (1/2) of his/her daily guarantee
    at his/her regular hourly rate for every full pay period in which the

    I just didn't know because your vacation check is issued two weeks in advance. Thats the only thing that is throwing me off.

    The penalty pay clause usually lights a fire under their butts and they get the payroll error corrected if you push the issue to have it now instead of waiting a week.

    Which is probably why they changed it to 2 weeks before vacation, so when they make the mistake, they can clear it up, on the next weekly paydate, with no green checks, or pay penalties.

    Will the issue is the supervisor who puts in the vacation forgot to put it in. So instead of getting my check on December 25th for my vacation for jan 4th-8th, I didn't get it at all. They told me they would issue me a check and I would get it Saturday which I didn't. I am not the only one they messed up on either. Everyone that had a vacation the first two weeks of jan. didn't' get their checks either. So I was wondering more about the fact you get your check two weeks before you vacation. If they still can get penalized even though they have two weeks to correct it.
