I do not think we should invade Syria.

I do not think we should take sides in the civil war by providing weapons to the rebels.

I do not think our goal should be regime change. We, as well as the rest of the region, are probably better off if Assad remains in power rather than turning control of the country over to Al Quida terrorists.

However....

If there is clear, convincing and indisputable evidence that the Assad regime has or is using widepread chemical weapon attacks, then we have a moral obligation and justification to punish the regime with cruise missile strikes. Chemical weapons have been outlawed by 189 nations worldwide, the use of chemical weapons is considered a crime against humanity and a violation of the laws of warfare, and harsh consequences need to be imposed upon any regime that would use them. Its none of our business who wins the civil war, but its everybody's business when chemical weapons are used against civilians.

I agree !
Just wipe out those gas tanks/supplies with 10 cruise missles.
Don't let Assad or anybody else have them.

If my math is right - it will only cost 3 cents per American citizen.
Which we don't even have up north - nickles are our lowest domination now !

AtleAST you have our back-up to do so this time around ! :)

Thanks for checking in. Actually we have Canada's back as always. Without us you'd be speaking Russian. So kick back, enjoy the warm weather before the soon coming cold, and maybe worry about trying to get the Stanley Cup back from us.

Burning the White House is doing us a favor. We wouldn't mind you doing it again right about now.
Here's a good investment for you get a few of our circulated quarters, or even postal stamps :

From the Toronto Sun, June 18th, 2012:
Royal Canadian Mint unveiled the first in a series of coins Monday in Halifax to mark the bicentennial of the War of 1812.
The $2 circulation coin has an image of the British HMS Shannon frigate -- to signify the historic capture of the American USS Chesapeake off the coast of Boston. The defeated warship was escorted into Halifax Harbour in 1813.
The War of 1812 marks an important part of Canadian history in the country's evolution from colony to sovereign nation.
Four new 25-cent coins will be released this year and in 2013, as part of the series, commemorating 200 years since the U.S. declared war on Great Britain.
"Honouring the bicentennial of the War of 1812 with this special circulation coin pays tribute to some of our greatest national heroes and a crucial moment on the road to Canadian nationhood," Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said in a statement Monday.
Meanwhile, Parks Canada sites across the country, such as a new exhibit to be featured at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, will commemorate the anniversary with special events and re-enactments of the time period over the next three years.
Canada Post has also released a new stamp.

You can thank the US anytime. You were a British colony. And the war was tactically a draw but a strategic victory for US since it forced the British to respect US rights.
