Ok, I've been ready to burst since mid-June when this thread appeared.

It's not "dribble", it's "DRIVEL" !!!! :biting:
Thank you Moreluck! I like to think of you as our mother. Keeping us fed, making us laugh with your "good ones" and gosh darn it correcting our grammar. Now everyone elbows off your desks:happy2:I type this with love and affection

Are you really going to quibble over semantics? :wink2:

As long as we're all being technical here, it isn't exactly semantics. It's just not knowing the correct word, i.e. poor grammar.

Actually, if ya really want get all technical, drivel, dribble, slobber, and drool are all synonyms and it would have been grammatically correct to use any of them in that sentence. So it really is an issue of semantics unless Brett meant to write drivel and just badly misspelled it. I doubt that's the case but I could be wrong.

And I'm really just killing time while we wait for Tie to give a substantive response to John Frum's question :happy2:.

Tie's NEVER going to. It would be absolutely STUPID for UPS to use an internal audit and then GIVE it to OSHA.

Ketter does an OSHA like audit for UPS by Liberty Mutual. That would be like..."Hey we feel like paying a fine today, let's bring Ketter in!"

OK OK since we are kind of touching on grammar, semantics etc.
Alot is not a word. It is a lot or as my college english teacher did on the first day of class, walked to the chalkboard (yes I am in my 40s) and wrote
A lot :happy2:

Re: Taken out of service for not knowing saftey dribble?

I was assuming everyone in this thread did study these safe work habits while on the clock. I know that I do. I put in my board; other work, safety meeting, for like 5 or 10 minutes a couple times a week. That is what we are supposed to do....study on the clock. After all....."Your employment is contingent upon knowing this information." LOL !!! :funny:

If he were to join, then tieguy could give him the bad rep points he deserves.:wink2:

Probably not. He does post some interesting information. Its clear he puts a lot of time and effort into it. I do think he tends to slant it which is where we disagree.

He knew when he asked the question that there was not any public information posted anywhere that I could link to.

However anyone having the same question can ask their local safety department managers or managers that question and find out that Ketter does report the results of its audits to OSHA as part of the corporate settlement agreement.

I wouldn't call him anonymous if he posts on the same name every time he posts here, but then again we are all anonymous over the internet. Not sure why you're so defensive, do you have something to lose by answering his question?

My position has always been if you're going to use the site then support the site by joining.

Same philosophy you guys use with the union. In that case you would call him a scab for benifiting without joining.

Apples and oranges Tie, thats a big stretch. Is there a contract that needs to be signed in order to post here?

He supports the site by posting and being ACTIVE here. It's no more then you and I. I don't know you and you don't know me. Same with him.

Basicly, yes. It's called the TOS and can be found here:
http://www.browncafe.com/community/help/terms

(and it's not just dribble, err...DRIVEL!)

I do agree with you that we are all anonymous.

But I also agree with Tie that if you're going to post often, you might as well register.

You're free to defend site scabs and I'm free to point out the discrepancy in how you apply your principles.

"site scabs"? Give me a break .
That's a nonsense term that you made up all by yourself which has absolutely no relation to a union job, or anything else for that matter.

Cheryl has stated that she has no problem with John posting in the manner that he does, and since it's her site that should be the end of the story.

The fact of the matter is that you just don't like John Frum. You should be honest and admit that instead of hiding behind this pose of being all outraged about someone not registering at an internet website. No one is buying it and it makes you look silly.

I have to admit I love watching people like yourself squirm. You believe someone who enjoys the benifits of a union but does not join the join to be a scab. But you don't see the same relationship with someone who enjoys the benifits of the browncafe but is too arrogant to join. they are site scabs pure and simple no matter how much you squirm with the concept. My position is a strong one and you make yourself look weak by even trying to argue a point that is pretty clearly defined. The strength of Cheryls site will always be the number of registered users. To use it without supporting her by joining clearly makes you a scab or leech if you prefer the other term.

Its a point that is impossible to argue against because the relationship between a union scab and site scab is exact.
