I love how you used the word evolve. That's my sentiments exactly.Hiring urban Meyer has forced the entire conference to evolve. They are still a few steps behind but that's why ohio state hasn't lost a conference game in 3+ years
Is really funny when you look at it.He's got a lot more class than Sobbin' Saban.
He doesn't make excuses why his team got their butts beat.
Over 500 yds offensively? Get over it Saban. You met your match.
Pro?I'm just wondering if Cardale Jones transfers or declares for the NFL draft.
Probably the best first three starts of a college career though, win Big10 championship game, win playoff game, and third and still undetermined, the championship game. Who can say that in their first three starts?Jones has potential but is still just a redshirt sophomore with 2 career starts. It is possible he could improve enough to turn pro but he is definitely not ready yet.

Meyer doesn't put many QB's to the pros. I can't say any of his Fla QBs had a successful or long pro career. He has more potential to become a pro than either Miller or Barrett. He is a big drop back passer instead of an option running QB like the other two so fit more into pro style offenses.

Ohio state doesn't produce good pro version quarterbacks ever.Agreed. He doesn't design his offense around a pro style QB. And he taught Jones that same foot shuffle he taught Tebow that Jones would have to later unlearn.
Don't they get top QB recruits though? They must be good salesmen.Ohio state doesn't produce good pro version quarterbacks ever.
Yea we usually get Terrell Pryer's of the world and they bust out in the pros. We produce some good defensive backs and wide receivers though.Don't they get top QB recruits though? They must be good salesmen.

Back in the day bear Bryant recruited almost exclusively quarterbacks. Why?They recruit athletes then figure out what position for them to play.

"Because everyone puts their best athletes at qb". This has changed a bit now for sure. Back then there might be 20-30 lbs difference between lineman and the rest of the players.
It's insane how big these kids are getting. One of the Bama defensive players made a comment about trying to tackle Cardale Jones was almost like trying to stop a linebacker because of his size (6'5" 250 lbs).
I know he's started twice and won both of those games. There's a reason he was the 3rd stringer and it pretty obvious when you really watch.
