Via Daily Mail:

Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder sparked even more outrage over his team’s name on Sunday when he invited the president of the largest Native American reservation to sit in his box at a game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Outgoing Navajo Nation President Ben Shelly and his wife Martha even wore Redskins hats to rub elbows with Snyder, amid intense public debate over whether the D.C. team should be allowed to keep its name, which many civil rights groups have deemed insensitive and racist towards Native American people.

Thats a dumb comparision.

The only team with an offensive name in any sport is the REDSKINS.

The braves, the warriors, the seminoles, the chiefs, the blackhawks and the like are actual names of tribes or honorable names used for indians.

There is NOTHING honorable in the term REDSKIN which was used during the genocide of the american indian.

TOS.

Yet the Indian people want these names erased also. I don't get it. Our local High School team since the beginning of time was always the "Warriors" with the logo being a fierce, brave looking Indian. About ten years ago our "politically correct" spineless school board bowed to a couple of radical Indians and over night we went from a fierce, brave looking Indian to a fierce, brave looking Nordic Warrior. If being a totally forgotten race is what they are after they are doing a good job at it.

No matter which side you are on in the matter of renaming the
Washington
Redskins, this is funny. This guy is hilarious…

Here is an e-mail sent to Clarence Page of the Chicago Tribune
after
an Article he published concerning a name change for the
Washington Redskins.

Dear Mr. Page...

I agree with our Native American population. I am highly insulted
by
the Racially charged name of the Washington Redskins. One might
argue
that to Name a professional football team after Native Americans
would exalt them as Fine warriors, but nay, nay. We must be careful
not to offend, and in the Spirit of political correctness and
courtesy, we must move forward.

Let's ditch the Kansas City Chiefs, the Atlanta Braves and the
Cleveland Indians. If your shorts are in a wad because of the
reference the name Redskins makes to skin color, then we need to
get rid of the Cleveland Browns.

The federal government, which has “Tomahawk” cruise missiles and "Apache," "Blackhawk," "Kiowa" and "Lakota" helicopters - and used the code name "Geronimo" in the attack that killed Osama bin Laden, officially objects to the name of the Washington Redskins.
Really?
