If the money being available to help shore up the pension plans doesn't do the trick and the pension plans become insolvent the beneficiaries are tossed over to the PBGC who will pay a monthly benefit of about 60% of what the plan paid.

There's only one problem.

The PBGC is projected to be out of money by 2027. For those receiving or are counting on receiving the full monthly benefit let's hope that this "Hail Mary" will succeed.
