You are completely delusional. We don't know that Trump didn't do anything criminal because it isn't over even though you want it to be. Congress is supposed to be the "check" against the Executive Branch, and it's their job to assess criminality.
Your boy Donald doesn't want anyone to testify, won't release his tax returns, and acts like a guilty criminal in nearly every respect possible.

Republicans gained 63 House seats in 2010. It's not unusual for the party not in the White House to perform well in midterms.
