I have a Great,G,G, Grandpa who fought on the Union Side in The Civil War. And since academia hammers home Slavery being the only absolute cause for war. I feel as a descendent of someone who fought to end that practice, I should be entitled to reperations.

Funny story about the reparations “argument”.
I interned at a local Fox News affiliate some time back, and I took part in producing a segment that featured a “debate” between two state representative candidates in regards to reparations.
Before they went live, the candidates were very chummy and were prattling away about mundane things.
I commented to the station manager that they didn’t seem too concerned about prepping for the debate.
The manager chuckled and said, “Believe me, NOBODY takes this issue very seriously; we just air segments like this because we know it strikes a nerve with older working-class dudes and that’s pretty much our demographic.”
When the “debate” started, the station manager wasn’t pleased with the civil nature of the discussion and he started to whisper “heat it up” repeatedly off camera, and the candidates were more than happy to oblige.
By the end of the debate, they were basically yelling at each other at the manager’s direction, but when the cameras stopped rolling one said to the other, “So I’ll see you at so and so’s this weekend?”

It’s a matter of objectivity. He is statistically way more likely to deem a news story as “fake” if the story presents negative information regarding his presidency.
