Old Man Jingles

Rat out of a cage
I have a problem with the government resorting to dishonest means to trap someone.
I've said it before and I say it again ... Prosecutors are only slightly less slimy and criminal in how they achieve their ends.
They do the same thing except with the 'legal' approval of the government.
The ends justify the means.

Meanwhile you support this abuse of power if it favors your political postion.
Did you read the transcripts? The judge asked Flynn on more than one occasion that given the allegations of misconduct on the part of FBI officials if he wanted to withdraw his guilty plea. He declined all offers from the judge to withdraw his guilty plea. In addition Flynn was asked if he knew that lying to the FBI was a federal offense and he said he did.

It appears the judge would rather put the FBI people in jail than Flynn.

Did you read the transcript about the basis for this investigation? The Comey led FBI went on a dishonest fishing expedition and created the scenario . Did you read where the judge basically laughed at the Mueller teams effort to bring up the Logan act?

Dershowitz- when the FBI already has a recording of a meeting, and asks whether that meeting occurred, a false answer is not material to the investigation. The only reason to ask that question is to test the witness, not to learn information. Morality tests are not the proper role of the FBI

Poor Flynn, lied to the FBI.

Spin it anyway you want, Tie, I’m having trouble feeling sympathy for a General/NSA Director who so clearly and willfully lied to the FBI.

Cry about entrapment all you want, at best he’s a maroon, at worst he’s a criminal.

LOCK HIM UP!

And every legal expert other than Dershowitz is saying that this theory is absolute baloney and would be dismissed outright in any court.

OK, lock up Brennan and Clapper, they both lied to Congress. Lock up Susan Rice. She did too. Lock up Obama, who famously lied to the American people. Lock up Comey, he lied under oath too. Since we're cleaning out the liars let's get them all. Don't forget Bill Clinton too. Let he who hasn't sinned cast the first stone.

What the judge brought up was the question of treason. The prosecution said that they were not prepared to answer the question a recess was called so they could read the statute and then come back and answer saying that it wasn't considering charging Flynn with treason.
You "law and order" consercuks amuse me. When DOJ and the GOP congress went after Hillary you consercuks were up in the gallery cheering them on.

But now that the tide has turned and the hunter has become the hunted you cry like babies .

The judge misspoke. Flynn wasn't National Security Advisor while serving as an agent for the Turkish government. After recess the judge apologized for his statement.

not true. every legal expert is not saying that.

but I'll consider your argument.

Dershowitz is a flaming liberal. name two republicans that are considered experts on par with dershowitz and and vote opposing party meaning republican that support your point.

which he then backed off on , corrected and apologized for. did you think you were the only one to read the transcript?
What appeared quite obvious is that the judge is not happy with the prosecution on the basis of the easy off deal they propose and he has doubts that Flynn is telling everything he knows thereby giving him final chance to tell all or he'll throw him in jail. The redacted portion of the prosecution's motion is key.

Dershowitz is not on trial. Bill Clinton is not on trial. Hillary Clinton is not on trial. Barack Obama is not on trial. As with all politicians they want you the voter to look only at the image and not the real person. The candidate who succeeds at that usually wins except when cases of proven criminal activity rears it's ugly head.

Good idea, go to sleep because if you stay awake you might see the unfolding of events on the American political battlefield in the weeks ahead that at the very least could make you uncomfortable if not outright shocked. BTW, yesterday Boeing announced that it was increasing it's stock buy back plan from 2 billion to 20 billion. ........ Investing, hiring new workers, raising wages?.......Yea, sure pal.

what was apparent to me was that the judge gave both sides holy hell.

he strongly admonished Flynn for his lying to the point of disgust.
he strongly questioned the basis of the investigation and laughed at the prosecution when they tried to present the never charged never prosecuted logan act.

he asked pointed questions with his concern that flynn may have been advising the incoming administration while still working for the turks. that was stated by prosecution to be a non issue. He's a jurist who thought out loud as he asked those questions. he then realized that the CNN's and all their snowflake groupies would read much into the word treason and walked it back after the break you keep mentioning.

The judge clearly gave an indication that he may not accept the plea deal. At that point flynns lawyers decided to request delaying sentencing to build up more positive support for his testifying against the recently charged turks.

thats it. anything else you try to spin out of this tells us that you listen to too much CNN .
