“I want to be clear: the Supreme Court is not the deep state. The case had no merit and was dispatched 9-0. There was no win here. Complaining and bellyaching is not a manly trait, it’s actually sad. Real men accept a loss with grace,”

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL)

Nixon took us off the gold standard. When the Federal government prints money it's taken on faith that they will back it.
Right and I'm quite certain that creditors would be more than willing to purchase debt backed by the full faith and credit of the Confederate States of America. And I'm certain that Moody's and Standard and Poor's would rate the worthiness of their bonds right at the very top.

Kentucky receives $2.41 back from Washington for every $1 in sends. Three of the 4 largest "taker" states are GOP controlled.
i see va and maryland at the top of the list ?

its a skewed argument. States with richer residents pay more in taxes. So New York is a giver while your more rural states will be takers

Been known for a long time that New York is getting hosed while the Southern states are taker states. I loved it when Old Mitch railed about the need for the federal government to stop subsidizing states but his own state ranks second in terms of the states getting more than they're paying in.

And on top of that where is the ACA, you know Obamacare administration center located? Nowhere else except good old London Kentucky

New York has a smaller population than Florida but almost three times the debt. And as more of the wealthy flee NY you can bet at some point they're going to be begging for Federal assistance to bail them out.

Considering how many corporations are relocating their headquarters to the South I have no doubt our currency would do just fine.

Doesn't change the fact that most of the states with the most debt are blue and are seeking Federal bailouts.
Oh yes it does make a difference. The money the donor states are paying that is in excess of what they are getting back is money going out of that state's economy . And for the taker states is the opposite.

so you're really saying the rich are getting hosed? the state itself is not getting hosed. The state itself is not the one but paying all the federal taxes but the rich that live there.

you shouldnt post stats if you dont understand them.

Oh for sure, for sure. It would trade quite favorably against the U.S. dollar, the Euro, the British pound . Don't forget the U.S interstate highway system would end right at the border of the confederate states with a great big pile of jersey barriers stacked up on the road where line is drawn. Rail freight traffic would stop right at the same place. And don't forget the U.S power grid would be cut off at the border as well.

Democraps love to cosplay this revolution/secession nonsense. It's because they hate themselves, their lives, and their country. Pathetic.

They just hope to be rid of all of us standing in the way of their utter and complete worship of and supplication to their God-Emperor authorities figures. That's why they keep projecting their hopes, dreams, desires, and motivations onto others with the accusations of Trump worship. It's all they know, and they assume everyone thinks like they do.

Try not to forget we've got most of the oil, agriculture, and in case you haven't noticed we're crisscrossed with interstates and railroads too. Hell we've got most of the wind turbines in the country and most of the navigable rivers. Think we'd do just fine.

With so many of the wealthy moving to low tax States it's just a matter of time before the bulk of the income tax Federal revenue is from those states. First you drove business away with unions then you drove their owners away with high taxes. When will you ever learn?

Since when do uber wealthy pay federal income taxes. The average UPS employee in Florida contributed more than Trump's $750.
