Do a Fur Call. Remember them. Taking the empty box into the customers house. Them handing you a very expensive mink, chinchilla, etc. You folding it inside out into the box. Tying it up with string. Putting it in the truck and seeing an hour later that the box had fallen off the shelf and the fur was on the floor.

Those were the good old days.

No problem, we were picking it up for it to be repaired or cleaned. :wink2:

There are 3 things that every pkg. driver should have to do for at least one year to become a complete driver:

1. Run a satellite route.

2. Pick up from a UPS store.

3. Work out of a standard transmission 800 with the seat welded to the seat post and no
power steering.
How about making Scott Davis and every member of IE do these things for one year?

Oh, please...he has an Executive Board that actually runs the company and a Board of Directors to oversee operations. His toughest decision is whether to have caviar or escargot for lunch.

...and CEO Davis' mgt. committee. Forget the year, I'd like to see it for 1 week, that's 5 working days. With all the routes being cut and subsequent moves it would probably take 2 1/2 weeks to fulfill #2.
