What's wrong with middle class? And they make close to $40hr. With great benefits. But that kind of pay comes at a price and most UPS drivers are willing to pay that.

i like middle class, but its not the same thing as earning 50/hr which equates to 100k or whatever the hourly rate is. course if they werent willing to pay it they wouldnt be drivers now.

In most metro areas these days $100k will get you a minimal house in a lousy, if not outright bad, neighborhood. Sorry, have no desire to strive 30 years for that. Best thing can say about that is with inflation that house will be easier to pay for over time if your health stays good and you have decent work available.

Because half of america isn't willing or capable of having a stable relationship. Marriage is tremendously beneficial in economic terms. If nothing else, it's extraordinarily efficient to combine two households into one.

Anybody in America can get 12.50/hr work for 40 hours a week if they want.

Any couple that does that will make 50k/year and be totally fine.

If you're poor, it's your life decisions that made it that way.
