Of course the real question is why are you guys still fixated on GWB?...

It's not just Bush Jr...

Bush Sr. did the same thing, as did (ex-General) Eisenhower, when he was President.

The Soviet Union/Russia correctly calculated, in all four instances, that the West wouldn't have the stomach/heart/balls/desire to oppose the Bear's moves.

This has less to do with Obama or Bush or Eisenhower and more to do with geopolitical reality.

Simply put, Crimea is more important to Russia than it is to the US and Europe, and Putin correctly calculated that we don't have the stones/will to stop him.

We'll see if Putin stops at Crimea, but in either case, Russia's integration into the 'West' is almost certainly over.

The US has little interest in Crimea. Its much more important to Russia in their need for a warm weather port. The US should just stay out of it since no amount of saber rattling or meaningless warnings from Obama will change anything. All it accomplishes is make the US look foolish and weak.
