Jamie is either evading issues on purpose or she is not knowledgeable in the substantial issues affecting working conditions and wages.

What are the OT rights? Why isn't all OT offered on a voluntary basis to RPCDs first then to 22.4s and forced in reverse? This language would alleviate excessive OT for some of the 22.4s as 90% of the current package car drivers do not mind some OT and are not on the 9.5 list. Why isn't there language protecting start times for all RPCDs. We have started between approx 8 AM and 9 AM for decades; why not guarantee that? New language was created that guarantees 22.4s 5 consecutive days, 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week; That language was created so why not include that very same language for RPCDs? There is too much deception and collusion going on between the Hoffa-Taylor team and UPS for anyone to cast a yes vote. VOTE NO Specific language protecting RCPDs is missing and vague answers from the Teamsters and UPS are NOT answers. We are talking about major issues in working conditions, wages, etc. Please inform the members.

I agree that if they can guarantee a 40hr week for 22.4s then they need to put the same language in for RPCDs.

There is language about start times in most areas but we cant tell the company they have to start between 8am-9am. The company won't allow it because everywhere is different and things change. We also can't tell them how to load the trucks. As much as I agree they will never do it because most routes are based on areas also they want everyone to work OT. Bottom line is the Union will not hinder the company from making money and those two things are more difficult then they sound in my opinion.

There was a grievance that was filed a few years ago on start times. It deadlocked in the West , went through arbitration all the way to the national level. So there is some language on driver start times. Ask your BA to look it up!
