$3.50 raise for me at 50+ hours a week. Only missed 1 day since August 1st. Down payment money.
Any guesses how much back pay will cost?

When you get that check put it in a savings account and don't touch it.
And if you don't have a 401k, start one.

Have a 401K. Might bump up my contributions quite a bit a week or so before the retro checks are cut

I’m owed $3 per hour plus OT, worked at least 50 hours a week since August.
36 weeks x [$3(40hrs) + $4.50(10hrs)]
$5940 so far, before taxes of course. I already have a bit of savings stashed away for emergencies, putting 20% of each paycheck towards my 401k... i’m thinking of putting the whole retro check towards paying off the principal on my car loan, that way i’ll end up paying less interest in the long run.
Edit: Either that, or hookers and blow. I haven’t decided yet.

Were they live last time, I can’t remember? Best part about live checks is you can mobile deposit them in sexy things like a brokerage account directly without the wife knowing what she’s missing.

No if the member had direct deposit it was direct deposit. And if the member had live checks the retro was a live check.

Oh yeah it did I had to sit down with numerous employees that were either way over paid or way under paid on the retro.
We didn't have a sit raise the first year, last contract. But going from the 3 to four year progression made a mess out of the retro checks.

It is costing the company no more than if they had been paying us since Aug 1.
