I hate to break the news to you guys delivering more Amazon that I ever did starting before Christmas
It's that damn "60 Mins." drone story. Great advertising for people who didn't previously use Amazon, especially senior citizens. They're becoming quite internet savvy. $$$.

Do you think the public really cares why we were backed up?
In this case, it might actually affect their opinion of UPS. Which sounds better to a customer? "We weren't prepared for you people to order so much stuff, so we dropped the ball." or "We picked up the ball after FedEx said they wouldn't and did the best we could for you in a bad situation." Someone hearing the first is going to seriously consider switching to FedEx, and someone hearing the second is going to seriously consider flipping off the FedEx guy the next time they see them.
