Any Union workers here that process ODC work captured via new smartphones?

Ups rolled out a new process for ODC. In the process they cut the workers time in half and move people out of the department. Now a worker captures all the info on a smartphone and at the end of the shift upload all the info to some computer. I have a hunch that all of the work is being emailed to some slave shop and no Union workers are handling the info. So this means ups cut union people’s jobs to save a buck. Can anyone disprove my theory and why would union leaders allow this? Great new contract!

Moving people out of a department or steeamling a job is not cutting union jobs.

Did anyone actually get laid off from UPS because of this new system? Probably not

I don't know. The physical movement of packages? Yes. Not necessarily the information process.
