Monocular vision? Does that mean he can only see out of one eye?
Lasik? Thanks but it's my husband that failed and he's had this issue his whole life. He's healthy as a horse just has horrible vision in one eye.
Dude in my truck driving school had a glass eye.I don't think you can drive with one eye
Has anyone applied for and successfully gotten a federal vision waiver for their dot card?

Pretty sure vision is important. How much impairment must one have to not get a DOT?They have gone overboard on parts of the physicals like sleep apnea and blood pressure but vision is something where there should be little flexibility.
I only met a guy with a glass eye once...in high-school, he'd take it out randomly and put it in his mouth to freak us girls out. Ick!...not a way to pick up chicks.Dude in my truck driving school had a glass eye.
He's had monocular vision since birth. If you read up on it the only real impairment is depth perception and sometimes peripheral vision. His peripheral is great as he can see out of it kinda. His depth...well apparently they adapt and rely on hearing and shadows a lot. It's actually really cool how the human body adapts. According to the optometrist he's as safe as any other driver on the road.Pretty sure vision is important. How much impairment must one have to not get a DOT?
