I think that could be said for almost every job at UPS. All drivers should learn what it's like to be a loader. So many cry on here like it's easy yet they've never done it.
I preloaded when it was load charts, custom loads. That was when we were a service company. I agree with you. Ups used to promote from within. Now UPS can't get good management that is cross trained in the business. They pay us so much that they can't afford pension, and the medical is not good either for them. They can't exactly get the best of the best to go into management. I guess you can say UPS is one big flawed system. Being a Teamster, I'd say that they are both flawed systems. Sorry for the rant
