Spring Lawn fertilization? Do you do it?

I avoid any synthetic nitrogen in the spring.

I fertilize late September and Thanksgiving I reseeded a few years ago with Rebel fescue
I've found if you fertilize in the spring the top growth goes crazy while the roots are starved

Wouldn't it be better to fertilize in the Fall to help roots?

edit: I read it wrong. I thought you were saying you fertilized in the Spring.

nevermind

You have one? I would think that would be a big no-no in a condo association.

Nope.

I have this:

My former BIL has one and he loves it.

Do you need an air compressor or tire gauge
I would bet you they are coming in through that fireplace. Either the damper is open or there is a fresh air supply open because you are feeling a draft.
I don't have a fireplace, I think you got me mixed up with the one who does

Crabgrass preventer is a must in the spring...pre-emerge.
I tried going without it & using s post emergent as needed, so i could overseed in spring. Mistake. Now i use Dimension.
I wait until the forsythia come in full bloom, then I drop my Pre-m. I use Dimension 0-0-3.

Dimension gives a little extra cushion of time as it will kill early germinated crabgrass.

Forsythia bloom at the same time, same soil temperature, crabgrass germinates at.

Winning! Dimension is a great pre-m! Especially for its post emerg benefit
I also always recommend milorganite for the iron
