Beards

Old Man Jingles

Rat out of a cage
I owned one Jeep in my life. A CJ-5. I learned real fast why Jeep is a 4 letter word. Nothing but junk.
Yet I enjoyed mine ... I guess after owning a VW Bus, it wasn't that bad!

See how that works lol

Almost everyone universally bashes management but workers try to take control of one Little thing and the older generation is like bunch of sissies. We didn’t do it that way.

Like clockwork.

I’m in my late 30’s considered a millennial. I think the beard thing is ridiculous. People to lazy to shave without sensitive skin or any type of religious belief. I’m pro union but if the company wants drivers to be clean cut and not look like every fed ex or amazon dude out there I’m all for it. It’s only because we are in the you hurt my feelings age that this is acceptable.

My center is literally 75% bearded other morning during pcm we were told we can’t sculpt or trim our beards and that we would receive write ups, warning letters and even termination for trimming our beards can anyone shed any light on this?

New UPS uniform for drivers with beards and dreads (all for medical or religious exemptions of course):

So we should tell future generations to thank us for beards?

It's their company, and you chose to work for them.

You knew their policy when you signed on. And now you want it changed.

Nothing wrong with trying to change it, but don't get your hopes up.

Correct.

And it's not just my reasoning. It's the law.

And I just happen to agree with the law.

Nope.

I don't agree with everything in the contract, but I enforce it.

I also agree that a company has the right to enforce a dress code, as they see fit, to any of their employees who are seen by the public.

My opinion on beards doesn't matter.

Now you're starting to sound ridiculous.

The courts have pretty much already decided how far a company can go.

No, they can't tell you that you have to shave your eyebrows.

They can't tell you you have to straighten or whiten your teeth.

They can't tell you that you cannot wear glasses.

But, they can tell you that you cannot have a beard, or mustache.

They can tell you you cannot have any facial jewelry.

They can tell you you cannot have any facial tattoos.

They can tell you your hair had to be above your ears and off your collar.

did you not know the requirements when you were hired?

if you feel so strongly about this then you need to negotiate for it

otherwise quit whining

If you think you can change it then go on with your bad self

while your at it I’d have them get rid
of those crappy brown uniforms you should be able to wear whatever you’d like

I take full credit.

Is my black under armour showing still a no go with all these changes? If so I may need to grow my beard down long enough to cover it. That would suck because I wanted a neat well trimmed beard and now I may have to go the duck dynasty route instead.

My center just stopped giving AF about facial hair. Can’t see it under a mask anyway. I’m also seeing more drivers with visible tattoos. Management just doesn’t care as long as you can pull your weight.
