Best Truck

If you actually work your truck, which is the most reliable brand/model?

Bought a Silverado last year. I was hesitant because of all the recalls it had early in the year so I waited till December. Bought one manufactured in July which only had one recall which was the center bench seat belt. It only has 5k miles so far but I love the truck.

We have a 2019 Ram and I was worried about all the electronics in it. Been problem free for two years now. Definitely not sure what will happen in the future.

Well I hope it works out for you . I have an older Silverado and it's been nothing but problems . GM has a problem with the electronics in their vehicles , especially their trucks , they need to hire better electronic engineers . Between that and the corrosion problems that I had , having to replace bumpers , moldings with metal strips in them that discolored , brake lines and rotors and recently a complete fuel line that was very expensive that was corroded and starting to leak . Oh yeah did I mentioned the truck only has 48,000 miles on it ? I don't know that I would ever buy another one !!!

The way the new GMs have all that huge tailgate badging right in the center is ugly as :censored2:.

It looks like most people are answering this as "What is your personal favorite work truck" instead of what's actually the most reliable. No one in their right mind would say Ford is the most reliable.

Like I voted for Toyota, but I'm actually kind of uncomfortable in Toyota trucks. My *favorite* is the Dodge. The Nissans are more reliable than everything here but the Toyota, and drive better than everything here except the Dodge, but I personally hate them. You all aren't being objective.

Toyotas are the truck of choice for terrorists across Africa and the Middle East for good reason. They're the AK-47 of trucks when it comes to reliability in any conditions.

Now why didn't the idiot leave the tailgate down then the 4 X 8 sheets would have fit perfectly. What a maroon.
Probably doesn't even have an eight foot bed. Hard to find a truck now that isn't some four door bull:censored2:, as the truck demographic has shifted from a tool to a status symbol.

Gotta get the most absolute stripped down model for two doors to even be an option now. They need à la carte options, not this package nonsense. There's three main options I'd want in a truck. The first are two doors and a full-size bed, which would immediately get fit with a utility cap. The second, leather seating. Much easier to clean and more durable than cloth. The third, would be a good audio/bluetooth integration system with SXM. Makes hour-and-a-half drives to a jobsite much better.

That would never happen though.

Most people want king cabs and a truck more as a people carrier than for hauling stuff.

My last 4 or 5 new trucks have been Silverados and I have had good luck with them. As with all the other brands their tail gate are a weak spot. My newest one has that easy lower set up on it that is suppose to let the tailgate lower slowly but I had to have that fixed 3 or 4 times. I gave up on it after the warranty ran out.

6 and a half foot box with the tailgate down makes an 8 foot bed.
