Bid Job Help!

I'm new to this forum, and I have came with a question. I was trained to back up for the clerk position at my center in March. The guy that I was backing up was backing up Internationals every night due to layoff. Eventually the clerk I was backing up for every night moved into management. I still am "backing up" as clerk. If management doesn't fill the job with someone from the bid sheet, is there a time period that can expire before the job becomes mine? I have been clerking for roughly 75 continual days now.

In my local if you obtained the bid backup spot on an odd day and his last worked day was on an even day then it doesn't have to be bid and you got it. Hope that helps.

It is the Reload clerk position. I'm not sure how they haven't filled the position with the bid sheet. I'm just curious if there is an article in the union book about it.
