Speaking from my personal experience with the half dozen or so I had ran into. Every one had a different tale to weave about how much they were making and how good they had it. Felt like each one was trying to impress me that we pretty much were working for the same thing. You know this how?
I never drove around in circles.Follow them around all day?
Naaaa... I was too busy admiring mine.Check their paystubs?
If your friend is running 20 trucks and driving one, he’s doing it wrong.Speaking from my personal experience with the half dozen or so I had ran into. Friend of mine since grade school ( he doesn’t lie) owns 20 trucks ( he also runs a route)For all his headaches, he is making not much above a good middle class living. He wants out bad but fedx did not have approve of the last 2 buyers.

So the fleet that you manage for Freddy, it's all electric right? I mean, oil is evil and all right? If your friend is running 20 trucks and driving one, he’s doing it wrong.
In your mind he's doing it wrong, leave it to you, (a lefty) to decide what is the right way for everyone and everything. If your friend is running 20 trucks and driving one, he’s doing it wrong.
Wanna buy em so you can do it right? If your friend is running 20 trucks and driving one, he’s doing it wrong.
Thank God I don't got that many leftSame here. I got another 13 years though.
I wouldn’t buy an operation that poorly set up. I’d have to start from scratch developing a management team to properly run it. It’s better to sit back and wait for those operations to fail and take them for free. Your friend will have a harder time finding a buyer if that buyer has to drive a truck. His priority should be getting himself out of a truck. He’ll be happier and his company will be worth much more without any change in revenue.Wanna buy em so you can do it right?
Last time I talked with him ( during last peak)he was looking for a broker.
I don't know much about the business. Just what he has told me.I wouldn’t buy an operation that poorly set up. I’d have to start from scratch developing a management team to properly run it.
