A 70-year-old man who shot dead three senior citizens at an Alabama church group’s meeting Thursday evening was subdued by someone else at the event until police arrived, authorities said Friday.
I’m not sure the full story. Senior citizen did the shooting and shot other senior citizens though.
Apparently he was only an “occasional” type of worshipper and it was at a potluck.
Haven’t seen a motive, but dude who subdued him did it without killing him. Crazy to make it 70 years and just decide you’re gonna snap like that, seems like it would be initially a personal vendetta based on his age to me but probably escalated into a mass shooting if he wasn’t stopped. You can’t really apply any logic or reason to these people though, if you start shooting old ladies at a church you’re just deranged.

I figured it being in the south it was gonna be another story about an armed church goer taking him out.

Before he started shooting church goers were trying to get him to come eat with them.
That’s pretty common with the places of worship.
Christchurch mosque the Muslims tried to welcome the gunman at the door.
Charleston church they tried to invite him to pray with them.
Tree of life synagogue they also tried to be nice to the gunman before he shot them.

I think there might be something to giving these people the attention they seek. That might be a good place to start for the media and law enforcement when it comes to this. Maybe pass laws on mass shooter snuff films making it similar child porn if you distribute it.

Don’t release their name or photo, blur their faces during non public trial content. Punish websites that host their content as pedophile websites would be.
Just try to unperson them as much as possible, let the public know it was just another lunatic killed a lot of folk and doesn’t deserve our attention. They did something similar in New Zealand after Christ church bluring the gunman’s face during court appearances.
