AT&T is permanently closing the doors of its San Francisco Powell Street store in the latest business closure to hit the Union Square area, according to a company spokesperson.


The store at 1 Powell Street — at the cable car turnaround near Market Street — will close on Aug. 1, AT&T spokesperson Chris Collins confirmed Thursday.

An ABC News reporter says that he can't report about the closing of San Francisco's Westfield Mall on-location because it's "simply too dangerous to be there".

Bad idea.
Just turn the whole structure into a homeless shelter.
That way when it burns down, most of the city's problems will be solved.
That's assuming they would occupy it voluntarily. The vast majority reject those offers of shelter.
