And how would you go about it?
I think I gave some reasonable alternatives in my previous post.

Not going to circle back.

These are parents who gave their opinions at school board meetings in the appropriate manner speaking before the school boards. Because they did things like read aloud what their child brought from his/her school library/classroom to illustrate their point the National School Board Association wanted them labeled as domestic terrorists. They didn't throw anything, physically attack anyone, burn anything. They spoke truth to power. Nothing upsets power like getting exposed.
Do you know what their endgame was here?

What specifically were they hoping to accomplish?

In your opinion, why do you think this is true?

Aren’t most school boards not appointed and are just general voted in public representatives?
politicians are voted in by people as well. power corrupts…

Many years ago, the American public decided money was more important than their children. They decided to let someone else raise their kids while they made money.

So true.

But aren’t most school boards open to anybody who wants run and campaign to be a member?

Yes, and how has that worked? Is our public education system something to be proud of? Or is it the laughingstock? The most important thing you can invest in children is time not money. We, as the American parents are reaping the harvest of our decision to invest in making money our first priority.

Are you suggesting we are all complicit in some way?

It seems we may be.

Absolutely. Since mom and dad have both went to work, mom and dad don’t even see their kids as much as teachers and administrators. Who do you think the kids are going to follow? And why are parents indignant? And why should the school board care because they know most parents will not change and take their kids out of those school because they’re chasing after their careers , money, bigger houses, nicer cars, better investments, etc. etc.

Yes. Many are chasing all of these things and have very little time and/or interest in throwing their hats in the ring of school board politics.

And you are uninformed. Not to mention it is highly inappropriate to be talking to children about sexuality and sexual orientation, especially without the parents being involved.
Heterosexuality is taught to kids and reinforced by society in many different ways. Starting with Adam and Eve which I was taught at a very young age, in a children’s Bible book with lots of pictures. Adam and Eve were depicted by mostly nude cartoons with leaves covering their genitals and eve’s breasts. No Christian looked at that book and thought oh no it’s children being sexualized! They created and sold the books.
No one reasonable is upset at Ken and Barbie getting married. No those toys are beloved and popular. No one is wanting to toss out Disney legacy films that portray heterosexuality; those are beloved and popular.

Give me a break, teaching kids about gayness and accepting gay people is not “sexualizing” children in a damaging way like molestation or showing them pornography.

I don’t think this can denied.

I agree with your point of view here.

Good get that filth out of the schools.
I don’t see a problem with it being in public school libraries as long as all versions, translations, and other religious texts get equal treatment.

I really think it is probably better for the parents to disseminate and oversee this type of material to their children.

Are you referring to the books/curriculum being questioned or to the National School Board Association requesting the DOJ go after these parents?

So religious material should be the responsibility of parents but parents shouldn't protest books in libraries that describe sex acts in vivid detail or curriculum that says whites are inherently racists and minorities are inherently victims of whites?
