Contract ends in 2023

I'm all for us as a union but I'm also being realistic unless a miracle happens.
You can not have solidarity until you have equal pay for equal work. Not one person making $16/hr, another making $30/hr, and another making $40/hr working side by side. I can understand a pay progression but 4 years is a wage concession. One year is too long of a progression.

Don't confuse solidarity with socialism.

And you can't allow part-timers to perform full-time work...

Nope. Put your time in. New concept. The slow wage scale is relational to long term pension can kick supplementation. How much pension $ is earned if at all on pvd’s etc?

What is FT work? Package handler? Air driver? Car washer? Delivery driver? PT does all of these jobs right next to FT members under the current contract.
Locals need to do a solid job of putting in concrete language. Will there be drivers sitting on these negotiations?

Depends on who your local elected to participate
From what I'm being told in the west it will be 2 members for every JC. So each local will submit 2 members and then the region will pick two from each JC.

So pretty much it will be a person from two of the most political kiss ass locals in your JC.

I'm assuming it's the same everywhere.

Not very happy about it honestly.

That makes sense.

That makes sense. Why wouldn't you want drivers there?
