Covid19, what if...

They should make the contractors liable.
If they’re openly defying CDC regulations and rules set it place by the local heath departments, absolutely. Obviously, there is still going to be a risk even with those things in place, but to not let employees know of new cases within the building is unconscionable and absolutely worthy of a lawsuit, regardless of what he says.

We aren’t employees. The CDC guidelines have no provision to inform everyone that enters a place of business of current positive cases of the staff. There is no guideline saying employers should inform their employees of positive cases. There are temp checks to get in and mask use is required. That’s all anyone can reasonably ask for. If you are uncomfortable with the remaining risk you don’t have to come to work.

If you think you’re handling things the right way, don’t let me tell you otherwise.

Your drivers are employees, handlers are employees, office staff are employees, management are employees.

All of the above are to be notified of positive Covid-19 cases in the workplace per CDC guidelines. Your ignorance doesn't absolve FedEx from this requirement.

That’s not a guideline.

I just want to make friends!
What part of the CDC guidelines don't you understand? It is a liability for potential lawsuits and whistleblower complaints for a company not to follow those guidelines.

It isn't liability for anything. Someone might file a lawsuit alleging that he contracted COVID due to FedEx not doing whatever, but it goes nowhere.

It becomes a liability when CDC guidelines are not followed.
IWBF's comments are in line with the general attitude of contractors toward their employees. That"plenty more where you come from"attitude. Well, in his market he probably does have plenty more but that doesn't exist in every market.

Read and learn.
If an employee is confirmed to have COVID-19, employers should inform fellow employees of their possible exposure to COVID-19 in the workplace but maintain confidentiality as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
You think that’s reasonable in a building with 7-900 workers that come through daily? Should there be a ticker at the door saying how many current cases there are? We’ve all been informed of possible exposure since the outbreak began. It doesn’t change behavior or precautions taken. I know you want someone, your employer or the government, to take care of you but that’s not reality.

It's not about being reasonable. It's about slowing the spread, especially to more vulnerable people. If FedEx can't follow these simple guidelines, they need to just shutdown completely. Not everything is about the bottom line or profit. It's about human lives. Pretty sad when a so called business man such as yourself can't see beyond your bank account.

Btw you might want to be more concerned about bringing that :censored2: home to your family more than anything else.

As though FedEx has anything to do with it SMH.
Wow, I knew you were a sycophant and a bootlicker, but I think you might actually be psychotic. There truly is no end to which you won’t go to defend this company.
