Eventually we will get there
Sunday was once considered a sacred day too. Hell 10 years ago everyone would have laughed at the thought of weekend work.Think so? I don't know. I don't see it happening unless there is some disaster
Peak here is officially Oct.15-Jan.15.It's always a crapfest the days after peak officially ends. Half our crew is cut, since they're seasonals. And vacations open back up.
I thought they were working on making peak officially end mid January in our last Contract talks.
They act like everything goes back to normal midnight Christmas Eve, then our one day off. Reality is, post 'peak' has always been worse around my parts.
We might as well work that day. It may relieve the stress of December 26th- January 6th.
Just you lolAny center being asked to continue delivering into Christmas morn?
The Amazon website continues to advertise: Order as late as 24 Dec, get your order for Christmas -- wtf!! Who is supposed to do the delivery?
I never worked a Saturday in 30+ years. Neither did anyone else at my old center. I don't know about lately though. You would have to ask @UpstateNYUPSer -- he knows everything about every UPS center.Sunday was once considered a sacred day too. What the heck do you do at UPS? I worked there for 30 years and 27 days and NEVER ONCE worked a Saturday or a Sunday.
